As part of our policy to reduce the impact of packaging on the environment, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to promote a fully recyclable, biodegradable and sustainable cardboard alternative to polystyrene.

Sustainability

With sustainability in mind, Charta continues to work with our customers to produce environmentally friendly packaging which is designed to replace and therefore reduce the amount of non-sustainable materials currently available in the marketplace.

Recycle

Our cases are designed to minimise their impact on the environment. Every part of Charta made and printed cases can be recycled or is biodegradable.

Board Manufacture

We manufacture all own board and the appropriate combination of recycled and virgin paper is tailored to suit the case's purpose. Virgin papers are sourced from properly managed plantation forests. All of our product is 100% recyclable.

Adhesives

The adhesive used by Charta to bond the outer layers of cardboard with the corrugated core is made from natural starch extracted from wheat, tapioca or maize. This adhesive contains no hazardous chemicals and is biodegradable and recyclable.

Inks and Over-Gloss

Only water based inks and over-gloss are used by Charta. All are biodegradable and readily recyclable with the cardboard.
